Mark Reyes, MSA
Mark Reyes, MSA, is a Filipino-Canadian artist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Primarily working with oil paints, Mark’s diverse portfolio includes portraits, landscapes, wildlife, and urban scenes. His style is characterized by a blend of realism and impressionism, often incorporating gold leaf and other mixed media to add depth, interest, and luminosity.
Portraiture holds a special place in Mark’s oeuvre. He believes that each face tells a multitude of stories, and through his brushstrokes, he seeks to unveil the narratives etched into every expression and gaze.
An active member of the Manitoba Society of Artists and an associate member of the Society of Canadian Artists, Mark has showcased his art in various exhibitions, including the Winnipeg Fine Art Fair (2025), the Arcane Horizon Gala Art Auction (2024), and the Kaleidoscope Group Art Show (2024-2025). His piece “An Afternoon Nap” was juried into the 2024 MSA Open Juried Exhibition and Competition . In June 2025, he will present a collection of his works at the Manitoba Legislative Building during Filipino Heritage Month.
